Calcium Bromide is a single-salt solid, ready-to-use powder to form clear brine workover and completion fluids that require densities from 8.4 to 15.3 lb/gal (1007 to 1833 kg/m3). It is intended for use where the cost of transporting Calcium Bromide brine makes its use uneconomical. Molecular Formula：CaBr2，CAS No：22208-73-7.

Application

Calcium bromide powder is used for mixing high density, solids free completion brines and work over fluids. It can be used to achieve rapid density increases with minimal volume increase. In solution, it has the same function as its liquid state. It is readily soluble and can be added to the system at rates limited only by the capabilities of the mixing equipment. Calcium Bromide powder can be used to formulate single salt brines or in combination with other dual valency salts to form brines of the required density.

Recommended Handling

All personnel handling this material must handle it as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions as described in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Packaging and Storage

Packed in 25 kgs PP Woven bags or 1 MT bulk bags.

Store in dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and /or stacking.
